Introduction

Habrough ( HAY-b(ə-)rə) is a village and civil parish in North East Lincolnshire, England, 8 miles (13 km) north-west of Grimsby and 3 miles (5 km) inland from the River Humber at the southern edge of the A180 road, just west of Immingham and south of South Killingholme. Humberside Airport is 4 miles (6.4 km) to the south-west. The parish has an area of 2,330 acres (9 km2). Habrough Parish Council is made up of seven elected members and holds its meetings in the rear room of Habrough Village Hall at 7.30 pm on the first Monday of each month. If the Monday is a bank holiday, then the meeting is moved back a week to the following Monday.
